The Lesjöfors Group of Companies, one of Europe's largest and most diverse manufacturers of springs, is delighted to announce that it has acquired specialist UK spring manufacturer Harris Springs Ltd.

The agreement will see Lesjöfors establish a manufacturing presence in the UK, ensuring a rapid turnaround of product, in order to meet the requirements of its expanding industrial spring market customer base.

Harris Springs will not be changing its name or its management team. The company will continue to be managed by Philip Harris, the current Managing Director. It will be offering the same quality of service combined with a much wider product range manufactured in other Lesjöfors factories around the globe.

By investing in areas such as machinery, Lesjöfors plans to expand Harris Springs' operation with the goal of obtaining strong growth in the sale of industrial springs during the forthcoming years.

Managing Director, Philip Harris, said: "As part of the Lesjöfors Group we will now be in an even stronger position to provide UK spring buyers with a total spring solution and at a more competitive price."

Lesjöfors has operated in the UK for more than 15 years and operates from a brand new state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Elland, Halifax. The purpose built 25,000sqft facility houses more than 200,000 units at any one time.

Lesjöfors is a global company, headquartered in Sweden, specialising in the development, manufacturing and distribution of all types of springs. The company has been manufacturing springs since 1852 and this currently takes place in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Latvia and China with service and sales organisations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and UK.

The Lesjöfors Group has been certified to ISO9001 quality for many years and most of its companies have been awarded ISO 14001.
