Coiling Process Controller ensures 100% in-tolerance springs

New statistical coiling process controllers are ensuring that all compression, torsion and extension springs made by Harris Springs are produced at a 100% in-tolerance rate. Out-of-tolerance products are ejected from the manufacturing process.

The statistical process controllers are part of the company's SPC procedures. They carry out basic measuring, sort and correction functions as well as analysing the spring making process. They automatically adjust the settings of the spring coiling machine without any interruptions to production.

Statistical process controllers can make measurements of any spring sample size at any time interval. Visual displays of measurements provide instantaneous information on production status.
